Off Road Bikes |

Good morning residents of Headland and Harbour, It has been a very busy weekend for our neighbourhood teams with some great results in seizing off road vehicles causing a nuisance in our area. On Saturday 28th February PC Sulga Headland and harbour Police officer sighted a black Surron bike being ridden on the headland which the rider failed to stop, our officers quickly managed to locate the riders and their bikes, unfortunately the rider ran off from officers and left his bike behind which will now be sent to the crusher.
On Sunday 1 March Officers from Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing team were out on high- visibility patrols across the HART, De Bruce and Headland wards following numerous reports of off road bikes and quads. With the use of marked and unmarked vehicles and drone the day quickly turned into an extremely wet and muddy sequel to yesterday. After spotting an orange quad being ridden illegally in the west view area officers began an area search and a short time time later the quad was located abandoned and hidden deep within some brambles in a patch of extremely boggy ground. The quad was seized by officers and will now be crushed.
We will continue to combat illegal off road bikes, if you know where they are being stored or their riders please contact us via COPA, 101 or crimestoppers.
Thank you for your continued support. | ||
